Goat Reproduction
Is the half man half goat creature possible?
of course the first thing to assume is that some freaky dude had sex with a goat but is reproduction actually possible?
does anyone know if goats have the same number of chromosomes as humans? because if they didn’t it wouldnt be possible for the gametes to become a diploid right??
just wondering because my theory is that the goat is just a freak of nature and deformed in such a way that its head resembles that of a human.
If a human male sex cell ‘fertilized’ a goat egg cell, the other way round, they can never produce a halfmanhalfgoat creature. The different number of chromosomes and large difference in genetic makeup will cause the new organism to be unable to divide properly even at cellular stage.
But if you really wanted to make such a creature, you could possibly transplant a human head(with its brains) onto a headless goat. Though for the creature to be functional you would have to connect all the nerves with absolute precision and prevent the human head from rejecting the goat body, and vice versa(as in the case of organ transplant patients) Another problem is that goat red blood cells may not feed the human cells, and the human part of the creature would just die from cellular starvation.
However, it is possible that goats may evolve to have human faces one day. Though i dont really see the point and the “drive” for such an evolution to take place. It will then be classified as another species, not for you to ridicule at anymore:D And who knows? Maybe one day such a creature may come up to you and wonder what you would look like with a fish body.
